Description: Topaz can be found as colorless, white, pale blue, yellow, green, yellowish-brown, or red and crystallizes in the orthorhombic system and commonly occurs in prismatic crystals with pyramidal terminations. The hardness is 8 on the Mohs scale and occurs in pegmatites and high-temperature quartz veins. Topaz is used as a gemstone.
