More model informationTemnodondosaurus trigonodon (SMNS 15950) exposed in the ichthyosaurs hall of the Staatliches Museum für Naturkunde Stuttgart. This specimen comes from the Posidonia Shale Formation (Toarcian, Early Jurassic).
Temnodontosaurus maximum lenght could have reached 13 m. This animal was an apex predator in the Early Jurassic seas. Among its preys there were fish, plesiosaurs and even other ichthyosaurs.
