"Temporary Body Arts" in the Pitt-Rivers Museum

There are three isolated exhibitions: “Temporary Body Arts”; “Permanent Body Arts”; “Lifecycle Arts”.

The “Temporary Body Arts” is a ‘text-driven’ exhibition, which is organized in a sequential route: mirror, toiletries, body painting, cosmetics, hair, and scent. Highlights of above collections covers a wide range of objects in daily make-up, such as containers to store powder and scent, mirrors, hairbrushes, and hair wigs. Those collections are displayed in a traditional method with specific text descriptions (from the official PRM’s online databases) and other indicative labels.
