Ancient figurine from terakota, attributed to VI—V century BCE. The head of a figurine presumably represents Demeter. Back side of the figurine’s face reveals fragments of fingerprints of the artist. Height = 9 cm.
The artifact is a stray find, origiinates from the late 19th century collection of Alexandr Paul.
Artefact is stored at Dmytro Yavornitskiy Dnipro National Historical Museum.
The model was digitized in the course of the project “Preserving Ukrainian Legacy,” supported by the US Embassy in Ukraine (Kyiv) and the Ambassador’s Fund for Cultural Preservation. It is a joint ownership of Dmytro Yavornitskiy Dnipro National Historical Museum, non-profit organization “CyArk” and NGO “Scientific Research Lab “Archaic”.
