My first ever 3D model for my asset Creation Module at Teesside University starting with a basic blockout in Maya I moved to Z-Brush where i sculplted all the details, I also created a low poly and unwrapped in Maya before baking and Texturing in Adobe Substance painter.
We were given a lisrt of assets of a variety of subject matter ( vehicles, organics, buildings, etc.) and the one that stuck out to me the most was the T-Rex head, I knew this was going to be a challenge given my literal 0 prior experience of 3D modelling but I embraced the challenge and learnt as i went along. It is by no means a perfect model but it is one I am proud of.
The reasoning for the T-Rex being named Terry initially started as a joke but as I went on with the model I decided to make it an actual part of the concept tying the name with the Trophy board created an interesting story of a Moby Dick esque story where a begrudged farmer took revenge on the T-Rex he called Terry that had causes chaos to his ranch.
