Ben Baaske, PhD, with the TAMU Center for Heritage Conservation and I ran this test on a Terra Cotta pot. We used Alex Badillo’s Marker pallettes, mounted to a turntable provided by Acacia Originals. I captured (6) 360-degree rotations with a DSLR and imported the photos into Agisoft’s Metashape as individual chunks. I successfully aligned the six Chunks, first using the Marker pallettes (auto-detected targets) and then manually placed points. The merging of the two halves (a top and bottom) was straightforward after some trial and error.
