The Anthropocene

We are living in the Anthropocene epoch, in other words, an epoch characterized by significant human impact on the ecosystem and geological system of planet Earth.

My work depicts a literal and metaphorical collision: a cargo ship, as a symbol of civilization, and nature, which here is a damaged ice. As is widely known, climate change is a complex problem, somewhat resembling a domino effect. One of the most serious threats is the melting of the poles - home to such wonderful animals as polar bears
