Breath is the energy bridge that connects our body and mind. This life-sustaining process connects our body to the environment. However, automatic breathing becomes challenging for people suffering from COVID-19 since the coronavirus wreaked extensive lung damage and starved them of oxygen. The vessel of breath is a wearable device that would visualize the process of breathing, bringing the gas exchange process that took place underneath our body to the outer space surrounding us. The change in depth and temperature of each breath is translated through the change in light and color of the vessel’s membrane. Through this process of recording and interacting, the user brings more awareness to the fragility of life and commemorates lives lost in the pandemic.
