More model informationThe very first mirror for a person, of course, was the surface of the water. The first hand-made mirrors began to appear around 2000 BC (Bronze Age). The technology of making these mirrors was quite primitive: a molten piece of metal was rolled into a thin sheet and then polished to a shining state.
The presented model is based upon the Caryatid mirror of the New Kingdom of Egypt, belongs to the time of the 18th dynasty, about the 16th century BC. You can see an original here: https://www.clevelandart.org/art/1983.196
