More model informationThe Cage at Lyme Park, near Disley in Cheshire, was originally built as a hunting lodge around 1580. It survived until 1734 when it was dismantled and replaced with the current building in 1737. Lyme Park itself is a large estate which has a mansion house (largest in Cheshire) and formal gardens. The estate is managed by the National Trust.
