The Cultists Cathedral

A group of crazed cultists believed that a creature slept deep under the ocean. They built a temple as a place to worship their god, adorned with sculptures of its likeness. One day, the creature was stirred by the sound of their muttered chants, and with its awakening, the foul creature from below wrought the end of the world as we once knew it, flooding cities and rending deep cracks through the earth. Today, the creature lies dormant in the home built by those fanatic followers; sleeping, waiting, hungering…

This scene was produced for the University of Northampton ‘3D Organic Modelling’ module, the scene had to include a ruin, creature, terrain, creeper plant, coral, seaweed, rocks, a food source, and a man-made prop, with a 1k texture for ‘ruins’, a 2k texture for ‘creatures’ and a 4k texture for everything else. I chose to split my texture space to make use of tiling and trims.
