The Ferris Wheel | Nature Civ Challenge

This was my entry for the nature / civ contest held by Sketchfab over the course of November 2021. I have only just started using 3D programs in the last 12 months and this was the biggest project I have attempted to date. I was going to animate it but I ended up having a ruptured ear drum and entire family having norovirus in the last few weeks, luckily not at the same time (I am still deaf in my left ear!) but sadly I just didn’t have the energy to deal with anything.

I was happy with the progress I had made though and I hope the scene is still fun for you :)

In a different world, people would treat trees as something VERY precious for helping the earth, you couldn’t chop them down, so they’d build around it instead!

That was the thought I had when I made this. I hope it inspires. I learned a lot! My polys are pretty clean I think and my texturing was fun :)
