More model information3D model based on lithographs from around 1869. Between 1843 and 1846, Anton Widter commissioned the first restoration and conversion work on the Heidentor, whose stability and statics had been severely compromised by centuries of stone robbery. This was the first systematic and privately financed conservation work on a Roman stone monument in Austria. Anton Widter had the ancient pillar remains encased in supporting masonry.
The 3D model is part of the campaign “Twin it! - 3D for Europe’s culture”.
