The extrinsic muscles of the eye, shown here are some of the fastest contracting and most precisely controlled skeletal muscles in the human body. They work together and function as Agonist & Antagonists pairs to move the eyeball around.
They are the Superior and Inferior Rectus Muscles. The Lateral and Medial Rectus Muscles and the Superior and Inferior Oblique Muscles.
