Chambered in .303 rounds, the Indeterminacy Pistol looks like a reasonably ornate duelling pistol, but when the chamber is inspected it will always be discovered to be empty.
The weapon functions on a solidified Schrödinger paradox, wherin the firing chamber is sealed from the universe and it’s internal state cannot be determined without interaction. The interaction applies one of two states of probability. If the pistol is opened, the probable reason is that it will be to load it, and so the chamber is empty, if the interaction is through pulling the trigger, the probably reason is to fire it, and so the gun will fire, regardless of if it was previously seen to be loaded or not.
This allows it to be used to fire repeatedly despite it not actually containing multiple bullets, as the moment the chamber reseals, the weapon cannot be said to be loaded or unloaded.
