This 3D model pictures a Jupiler beer opener. Agisoft Metashape has been used to digitize this object and its dimensions are 12x24cm.
Jupiler is the name of a Belgian beer brewed in the periphery of Liège, in Jupille, where its name was inspired from. Created and firstly produced by the Piedbeouf brewery in Liège, it now belongs to the biggest brewery group of the world, ABInbev. Jupiler has a strong cultural importance in Belgium and more specifically in Wallonia. Belgian beers are even recognized as non-physical UNESCO cultural heritage.
It is part of “The COVID Collection” produced by master students of Media Studies : Digital Cultures from Maastricht University. This collection generated during the 2020-21 academic year is a gathering of meaningful personal objects in times of COVID 19 pandemic.
