Model 2102017. The oval engravings discovered in the Nabara 2 Shelter are unparalleled as no correspondence is known up to now in the more than 400 sites reported from the Ennedi (Chad) since the early systematic surveys by Bailloud in 1957. The best analogies are with the pecked petroglyphs of Azrenga and Anoa, but comparing engraved petroglyphs with pecked petroglyphs is like comparing apples to oranges. The oval engravings are distributed on the shelter ceiling at an height of seven to nine meters above the flat floor of the shelter, thus at a location that is not attainable today if not … with a long lens! Please, discover the full story by reading on the Open Access magazine Arts the article: “The Oval Engravings of Nabara 2 (Ennedi, Chad)” . Please, note that Firefox could crash.
