This depot was built in 1890 and played an important role in the founding of Plains, Georgia. The site was also significant to local politics and history and served as the headquarters for the Presidential campaign of Jimmy Carter in 1976. Today, the site is part of the Jimmy Carter National Historical Park. Part of a collaborative project with the NPS and the Friends of the Jimmy Carter National Historical Park. Scaled for VR.
