The sticking point of the barbell curl is when your forearm is positioned parallel to the floor.
With the elbows positioned infront of the body, and the arm position angular on the pad, the sticking point of the preacher curl happens at the very start of the lift as opposed to half way though the lift in the standard barbell curl.
