The scourging of Christ, François Duquesnoy and Alessandro Algardi, circa 1635-45, Gilded bronze, marble, ebony, semi-precious stones. Musée du Cinquantenaire (Brussels, Belgium). Made with ReMake and ReCap from AutoDesk.

The group’s conception and the realization of Christ are attributed to Algardi, a rival of Bernini. The two executioners are considered the work of Duquesnoy. This composition was very appreciated since today we know more than thirty replicas and variants.
