The focal point of the palace, situated opposite the entrance, was the rosette or star window discovered in the main court by excavators. Crafted from sandstone, this intricately engraved geometric form is intertwined in a knot-like pattern. Originally part of an upper wall or window, it allowed streams of sunlight to penetrate through from both sides. The star bears resemblance to rosette patterns commonly found in Islamic art and may have served as inspiration for the rose windows seen in Medieval European cathedrals. Today, it stands as a famous symbol of Jericho
