The Survivalist's Thompson

This is a Thompson M1 Submachine gun, modelled and textured as part of my MA in Games Design, where my area of study is currently Environmental Storytelling. For my second project, I wanted to focus more on individual assets, rather than trying to create a scene.

The story of this model is that it’s user, aptly named ‘The Survivalist’ has gone AWOL and travels behind enemy lines, killing any German soldier he encounters. Over time his weapon has been customised with wraps to make the handling easier, as well as adding a kill tally. Naturally, the gun has suffered from weather damage and some of the wooden pieces have worn away.
