“The Verdant Faces of Xolco”
Carved as if from a single block of jade or malachite, this relic bears two opposing visages — one a snarling demon with curling horns, the other a skeletal mask with wide, haunting eyes. The polished green patina suggests great age, as though it rested for centuries in a sacred temple or buried deep in a tomb.
Legend tells that the artifact was created to embody the duality of life and death. In times of war, the demonic face was said to protect warriors from harm; in times of mourning, the skeletal mask guided the souls of the dead safely to the afterlife. Priests would turn the head to match the ritual at hand, invoking either fury or guidance.
Sculpted from polymer clay, 3D scanned with the SEAL scanner, and auto-texturized in Meshy to emulate the look of ancient carved stone. Ready for use as a game collectible, quest artifact, or display prop.
