The Wraith was an enigmatic and terrifying siege weapon, designed to strike with terrifying speed and precision. This silent, counterweight-driven ram featured a retractable, spiked piston that could smash through gates and walls with crushing force. Its eerie silence, due to its ingenious mechanical design, made it all the more fearsome, as defenders would often not hear its deadly strikes until it was too late. First used during the Siege of Nightfall Bastion, The Wraith breached the fortress’s outer defenses in mere minutes, allowing the attacking forces to flood in. Its spiked piston, reinforced with steel, would retract and reset for rapid, repeated blows, making it nearly unstoppable. The Wraith’s dark silhouette, surrounded by oil-slicked gears and creaking chains, became a harbinger of doom, signaling the inevitable collapse of any stronghold it faced.
