Thornhil grave, St Hilda’s Church, HinderwellYour model is disabled. For more details go to Edit properties3D Model
Gravestone located near the wall of St Hilda’s Church in the village of Hinderwell, North Yorkshire (UK). The two names of John and Edward Thornhil indicate it is a multiple burial family plot; however, no dates are visible. The motifs of an angel’s head with wings and the hourglass were commonly used to decorate gravestones in the 18th century. Interestingly, there are cross bones below the wings of the cherub on the stone front.
