Tilt-Wing Quad Revisted (With Animations) 3D Model
Revisiting the full-tilt FPV wing-quad I modeled before. This time with animations. I think the sequences should give some idea how the control scheme works in forward flight. It’s really not too overly complicated to be honest since the motor support arms double as wings. Just needs some decent servos to control the throws. Quad mode is the usual gyro stabilized mix for that flight regime, so nothing too new there either. This would likely need some kind of forward airspeed sensor to have working well, as that would be needed to aid in controlling the overall mode mix from quad to forward airplane-style flight and vise-versa. Although this design is more like a stunt/racing drone, the airplane flight mode may increase endurance when flying over a distance, so that aspect is kind of neat too.
