Timber Frame Boundary Walls with Clad finish

This model shows how to build up the structural external walls of a timber framed building with a clad finish that sit within 1m of the boundary of the property. This construction has been tested by Steico in Germany and gives a fire rating of 60 mins from inside and outside.

It is important to note the size of timbers (minimum 160 x 60mm at 600mm centres) and that the external wood fibre boards must be the Steico Universal wood fibre sarking boards. We would suggest using either the Steico DuoDry boards or the UdiUnger-Diffutherm boards for this purpose.
