Site 1 of Loblolly timber height study. This project incorporated using existing timber height data, to compare to UAS derived timber heights. This project is being used to verify the accuracy of 3D point clouds generated in Structure from Motion (SfM) programs, by high resolution UAS remote sensing. Additional deliverables include a high resolution orthophoto that can be used for various RGB classifications, Leaf Area Index (LAI), crown shape identification, and planting audits.
