A sculpture in honor of the founder of electric arc welding - N. Benardos. It took two years to manufacture this unique piece, and defects were unacceptable. The base is titanium, and the top is all hand welded. Truly a masterpiece of welding artistry.
The method of artistic electric welding was developed in the early 1970s by G. Dochkin, foreman of the training center of the E.O. Paton Electric Welding Institute. Choosing different welding modes, Dochkin noticed the property of titanium to change color depending on the heating temperature. From that moment on, small pieces of metal in his hands began to turn into sculptures.
The works of the Ukrainian artist-welder became known all over the world. Its products were presented to presidents of countries, firms and welding societies, including the President of the United States R. Nixon, the President of Mitsubishi, the welding societies of America, England, Japan, the British Parliament, astronauts of the United States, and others. Made by 3D TECH & SKEIRON
