More model informationThis terracotta effigy of Elizabeth Dacre Howard is by Sir Joseph Edgar Boehm (1834–90), and the chest is by Philip Webb (1831–1915). It lies at Lanercost Priory within the chapel off the north transept.
The daughter of George and Rosalind Howard, Elizabeth died on 17 July 1883 aged four months. The effigy shows her fully robed and holding a rose in her right hand. Her head rests on a embroidered tasselled cushion and she is wrapped in a blanket.
