Tomb of Meru, overseer of sealers at the court of the pharaoh Mentuhotep II Nephepetre who ruled Egypt c. 2061–2010 BC, 11th Dynasty. Tomb is located at Western Thebes, Deir el- Bahari, North Asasif, Egypt. Like most of the tombs of high officials from that period (https://skfb.ly/onSqx), the tomb of Meru was divided for two parts. Upper part; corridor and chapel with the niche could be visited by the family of the deceased after the funeral. All lower parts, burial chamber with sarcophagus and mummy were supposed to be buried forever… Tomb no MMA 517 / TT240, 3d scaning for PCMA UW (Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archeology, University of Warsaw) under concession from Ministry of Antiquities of Arab Republic of Egypt.
