Tombstone of R. S. Ferguson 3D Model
Rough and ugly draft from hurriedly-shot photos to test using an ultra-wide lens plus Agisoft Photoscan. I will make a better version later in the year. The hogback tombstone is for Robert S Ferguson; according to the OED, the first published user of the word ‘hogback’ as a term for this style of early medieval stone sculpture. The piece was made by his friend W.G. Collingwood, a fellow member of the Cumberland and Westmorland Antiquarian and Archaeological Society. The stone is next to the Church of St Michael, Stanwix, Carlisle.
