Jomyo-ji Temple is an ancient temple of the Kencho-ji school of the Rinzai sect of Buddhism, ranked fifth in Kamakura’s Gozan. It was founded by Yoshikane Ashikaga in 1188, and was originally Gokuraku-ji (an Esoteric Buddhist temple), but was later changed to a Zen temple, and the name of the temple was changed to Jomyo-ji (around 1257-1259). The precincts are a nationally designated historic site. Behind the main hall, in what is said to be the ruins of Enpuku-ji Temple, there is a group of Yagura (caves carved into the quayside of a valley) where members of the Ashikaga clan are said to have been buried, and this 3D model is one of them.
