The Toradar is a type of firearm from India, popular during the Mughal period (16th to 18th centuries). It’s known for its short barrel, long stock, and unique ignition system called “pan and frizzen.” Used for hunting and defense, it played a role in Indian warfare. Though no longer common, it’s valued by historians and firearm enthusiasts for its historical significance.
The Toradar was primarily used as a hunting weapon and for self-defense. Its compact size and relatively simple design made it popular among soldiers, guards, and hunters alike. It was also employed in various military conflicts during the Mughal period.
