Torchlight 2 Unicorn

I created these unicorns as new pets for the game Torchlight 2 with my job at Panic Button Games! They were released exclusively for the Switch.

This was a really fun and tough challenge because there were a lot of unknowns in the early development. We knew we had to use an animation set and rig of an already created pet, and weren’t sure how much we would be able to deviate from the already placed bones. Originally, it started off as one of the enemy NPCs that turned into a capybara, then into a fat pony, to a fat unicorn. I enjoyed the freedom to concept unique and weird pets until we settled on this. :)

The pink one was the first to be created, followed by the rainbow, black, then dapple pony.
