The Parque da Guarita, officially called José Lutzenberger State Park, is a Brazilian Conservation Unit located in the municipality of Torres, northeast of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, South Region of Brazil. Its name pays homage to an environmentalist from Rio Grande do Sul José Lutzenberger, who was one of the greatest supporters of the park’s creation.
The Parque da Guarita is located in an area that corresponds to a tourist complex. It consists of a coastal ecosystem, with a beach of the Guarita, but its implementation was carried out in areas that reproduce other ecosystems in the region.
