More model informationDay 5 - Today was all about maps and using images for textures rather than nodes. Ive worked with uv maps a fair bit on my own over the last few weeks but just to add an image such as on the plates. we learnt how to make seams on our objects so we can control how it unwraps, kinda like making cuts only it doesn’t actually cut it. then we learnt how to add things such as roughness, metallic and emission all with images giving some nice effects and making some objects glow. a few of us took it one step further and used and image to imprint it onto and object, kinda like putting an impression into an object rather then manually adding and moving the vertices to make the impressions.
