I really hate UV maps and texturing.
My first shot at making a Ring World (Totally not a halo ring) and just messed around with the UV mapping and different texture maps. This is the result.
Made with correct dimensions if shrunk to 10 meter diameter. I did double the width due to the “canon” measurement feeling way too thin compared to what we see in the games.
Also Polycount still too high, increased it due to shadows in blender making it look weird. I’ll probably remake the ring wth everything looking better with way less polys.
