An amalgam of totem pole and organic structures including tree parts and insect-wings, Totemic Pandemic is a comment on the reality of humans needing to live peacefully in tandem with natural environments in order to coexist. The strong theme here, unfortunately, is that instead of seeking to live in harmony with natural systems, what we often do is the opposite - seeking to adorn ourselves with cultural, religious and other institutionalised trappings rather than respect [and care for] the natural world.
