Between July and September 2020, Oxford Archaeology East (OA East) undertook a nine-week archaeological excavation south of Horseheath Road in Linton, Cambridgeshire, on behalf of Croudace Homes. This new housing development has provided a unique opportunity for us to investigate an area of prehistoric activity first identified on the site during exploratory work in 2016. Explore our virtual tour by clicking on the numbered points on the 3D model of the site to see what we found and what it tells us about the people who first farmed this area more than 4,500 years ago. OA East are now washing and cataloguing the finds from the site, ready to be sent for specialist analysis. A full report on the findings will be available to the public via OA’s online library in due course: https://library.thehumanjourney.net/ To view the images Flickr account:https://www.flickr.com/photos/oxfordarchaeology/albums/72157716552602898 For more information about Oxford Archaeology visit our website: https://oxfordarchaeology.com/
