Tower Of Marmari - Amfipolis

The tower is located on a small hill near the village of Amfipolis, overlooking Strymon river and the archaeological site.

It was built in 1367 according to an inscription which now is in the museum of Amfipolis. It is constructed for the most part of the ancient material, collected from the nearby ancient city of Amfipolis.
