Train Lantern (’Oberwagenlaterne der Deutschen Bundesbahn’)

The scan was created from 192 images I captured using my Canon EOS 800D with a 50mm lens, and later reconstructed in Agisoft Metashape. Aside from a few imperfections, the raw scan with 7 million polygons was accurately reconstructed. For the cleanup and refinement of the high-poly model, I used ZBrush. In Blender, I had to remodel certain parts of the mesh, such as the handle, glass, inside and feet. Texture cleanup and texturing completed using in Substance Painter.

This prop is optimized for real-time applications and supports custom LODs.

Disclaimer: I am not yet completely satisfied with my settings of the glass refraction setup in Sketchfab viewer. There are still some small errors. For precise glass shading, I encourage you to explore my ArtStation profil.
