The First Electric Train in Perth, Western Australia (WA)

The Transperth A-series is a fleet of electric multiple units built between 1990 and 1999 by Walkers Limited in Maryborough, Queensland, in collaboration with ABB. These trains were the first electric trains introduced to Perth’s suburban network, designed specifically for the electrification of the system in the early 1990s.
