I’ve tried to make some trees. First I made a leafy branch, them baked it to a plane. Then I made a small branch, and added the leafy planes all around it, and lastly I made a treetrunk the regular way, single vertex, extrude, skin modifier, adjust endpoints etc, duplicate, high poly sculpt, bake in Substance Painter. I made a mistake that cost me a few hours to troubleshoot: When I exported the texture I’ve not used unreal template, and my normal map was in a wrong format, and the texture seams were visible in Unreal. After I exported in the “Unreal Packed” format and hooked it up everything looked good.
