Trench 1 (gully excavated)

Trench 1 (1.00 m x 1.50 m) was opened to see if the wall identified by Hammond as being Illyrian may continue across the plateau (or Kala). It was also hoped that some datable material may be found to help verify Hammond’s hypothesis.

This is the second layer we excavated after the topsoil. Here a small gully made from rainwater washing beside the wall has been removed. See the other layers here.

This is a low quality version of the models used by the project for archaeological research. Higher quality versions are available on request.
