Trench 2 (Topsoil)

Trench 2 (2.00 m x 2.00 m) was opened just a few meters south of Trench 1. It was opened across two large stone blocks that matched the dimensions of stone masonry used by the Illyrians and we wanted to see if they might be the top of a buried wall.

This is the first layer of archaeology, the topsoil, which is the layer before any soil is removed. See the other layers here.

This is a low quality version of the models used by the project for archaeological research. Higher quality versions are available on request.
