More model informationThis is an example of WW1 trench art showing an Adrian Helmet as an inkwell. This inkwell is made of cast metal and is painted Khaki green, there is a regimental badge on the front of the helmet. The inkwell is revealed by lifting the helmet which is connected by a hinge to the base containing the ink well. The leather strap across the inkwell is engraved with the word “Ypres” which was a common battle location during ww1 in which around 1 million collective lives were lost during the conflict.
Trench art is a common piece of memorabilia which can be found in relation to the first world war.
