Triceratops - Homer BMRP 2006.4.1 - draft model3D Model
Draft skull model of the juvenile Triceratops specimen known as Homer (BMRP 2006.4.1; with premaxillae borrowed from ROM 55380) from the collection of teh Burpee Museum of Natural History. This model was assembled in Maya in 2013 from CT scan data (collected by Dr. Chris Vittore) by then PhD student (now associate professor) Ruger Porter. The restoration of the model was never finished because Porter wound up not needing it for his dissertation research. This Sketchfab was generated by Ryan Ridgely in WitmerLab based on Porter’s Maya work. Thanks go to the Burpee Museum (https://burpee.org/) for providing access to the specimen and the CT scan data. Thanks also to the Black Hills Institute for providing casts of the premaxillae of ROM 55380, which we scanned and incorporated into the model.
