“Paradoxides sp. Cambrian 516 - 505 million years ago. Morocco (?)
Trilobites are an extinct species of Arthropoda, hard shelled creatures with segmented bodies and jointed legs (rarely found) that lived from the Early Cambrian 521mya to the Permian 252mya when they became extinct during the Permo-Triassic mass extinction. Marine creatures, they were generally small but the Paradoxides species could grow up to 45cm long.
The trilobite body plan is in three parts, hence the name, and is also divided into three separate lobes.” ~ transcribed from BNSS label.
