More model informationVolcaniclastic sediments of the Tuluanshan Formation. The volcanics are andesitic, produced by the volcanoes of the Luzon arc. These sediments were originally deposited on a slope at a depth of about 4000 m. Later on, they were steepened to about 70˚ dips and brought up to sea level by deformation of the Philippines Sea plate during arc-continent collision. Beds have top to the east (right in default view). Outcrop is about 1.5 m tall. Hualien river mouth (Lingting), along the beach, Taiwan. Lat 23.936807˚N, Lon 121.610381˚E.
